5 Fair-Trade Fashion Brands to Shop For Your Next Photo Session

While some of us search our closets for what we already own to wear before a photo session, others use the opportunity to take a shopping spree. With the fast fashion culture of the world today resulting in slave labor, I try to opt for ethical brands that take care of their employees and pay a fair wage. If you’re shopping for an upcoming photo session, I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite fair-trade brands that will not only help you look super chic. but will make your purchase go so much further by helping out the hands that crafted it.

I’ve taken the guesswork out of figuring out your outfit by sharing 5 Fair-Trade fashion brands I love below. Just click on the link to take you there. Happy shopping!

  1. Universal Standard. Shop sizes up to 40 in skirts, sweaters, dresses, and more from this company that offers fair labor standards to all of their employees and gives back.

3. Fair Indigo. Each piece of clothing made by Fair Indigo is ethically produced, providing rewarding jobs for their employees and supporting two family-owned farms in Peru who harvest the materials.

5. Boden. Protecting their workers, giving back to charity, and reducing their impact on the environment are just a few ways that Boden upholds their goal of sustainability. While I’m a fan of just about everything on their site, I’ve got lots of their blouses in my shopping cart.

6. *BONUS SHOP* Rent the Runway. Clothes don’t end up in the landfill with this company. You can rent gorgeous new pieces for your upcoming photo session without permanently adding to your closet (unless you decide to purchase)!
